Looks like an interesting mix, I am surprised that the H&K MP5 isn't in the mix.

The Zenith Firearms Z-5RS, Z-5P and Z-5K look like a direct copy of the H&K. Without trials or testing they could adopt the MP-5 without issue, IMO. They didn't ask me of course but why go with something new?

LTC (Join to see) - Exactly. We do this crap constantly and it's a supreme waste of time and money. I'd love to see a US company get the contract but we're already buying H&K rifles anyway. I would like to try the CZ Scorpion though. If it's any good I would pick it second.

No Sir. The M-3 was before my time but still seems to be a good weapon. I always wanted to shoot one.
The CZ Scorpion looks like it has some possibilities. I still vote for the H&K MP-5.
