Dems don't know what to do in Chicago because despite some of the most stringent gun restrictions on the country, the violence doesn't just continue unabated, it intensifies there.
That doesn't generally make the national news because it exposes that this policy does not work, at least in this case.
If you will pardon the pun, they don't want to give pro-gun organizations ammunition.

it's because in places like Chicago and Detroit they can't blame it on conservative white christians....

They can't open the other box because black on black crime stats are incredibly high, especially in places with strict gun control.

Here are some interesting stats from DOJ: A police officer is 19 times more likely to be killed by a black male than an unarmed black male is to be killed by a cop. In 2016 there were 16 "unarmed" black males killed by police. That same year, there were 7,881 blacks killed by other blacks. A black person is nearly 500 times more likely to be killed by another black than they are by the police. over the last decade, despite being only 6% of the population, black males make up 42% of cop-killers. But those on the left will ignore the facts and continue to push the narrative that "white racists" are the problem.

Unfortunately that is true. And Black Lives Matter movement was on a similar path. They demanded justice and protested when an African American was shot and killed by police. Yet they remained silent when they were killing each other. Sadly, the Democrats are only looking for votes and can careless about the people.

Sadly, the statistics show that a cop is more likely to be killed by a black guy than a black guy is to be killed by a cop.
