One of the things I assumed would be challenging for Mr. Trump would be the shift from a lifetime of corporate leadership...to being the leader of a representative government. I'll be frank and admit that were I in his shoes, there's a whole cast of characters I'd love the ability to simply look at and say, "You're Fired!"
This has got to be exacerbated by the fact that only in the public sector can you have subordinates who not only have the audacity...but the legal power, to criticize, accuse and take actions against you. There's no way any private sector VP, executive, division manager or other official could openly challenge the "CEO" and expect to remain in employ long. That said, I have to hand it to the President for showing comparable restraint.
Not being an elected or appointed government official at present...I can't comment on what possible ramifications proceed the potential for the so-called "Deep State". I have to admit that I rarely buy into "conspiracy theory", and generally assume the biggest "secret" of our government is that is largely staffed by fundamentally incompetent people. Still, it does seem obvious that there is an element of the government grasping at proverbial straws in any attempt to find the slightest thread for impeachment proceedings.
For myself, nothing short of proving that ballots were "rigged" or votes were changed, particularly by collusion with a foreign party, would convince me that the questions regarding the Election are anything other than the result of one large group of voters being slightly smaller than another group of voters.
