Reminds me of a fellow in Subic Bay with a charcoal brazier and a monkey on a chain on his shoulder. I flew to Clark AFB to meet up with the USS Blue Ridge in 1973. On the first night of liberty I went into Olongapo with the LPO. Still hungry, I stopped to get a piece of grilled chicken.
The LPO said "you don't want to eat that" --- I replied that I had had it many times during high school in Japan as I bit into it. His response was "see that monkey> -- that's tomorrow's bbq".
