Opinion | The Electoral College Is the Greatest Threat to Our Democracy

Many states are now mandating that the States electoral votes all go to the winner of the popular vote.

LTC David Brown sounds extra Constitutional to me. That states would subordinate the will of their citizens to make Californians or Texans happy makes no sense.

That is all well and good until the voters of a state see the state's entire electoral vote go against the state's popular vote, particularly a state vote that has a landslide. But the landslide cuts against the grain of a close race nationally, and the popular vote compact alters the course of the election.

In the attached link, you'll notice there is a pretty direct correlation between membership in the popular vote compact and those states that had strong votes in favor of Secretary Clinton. I wonder how those blue states would feel about the popular vote compact if Candidate trump had won the popular vote, but lost the electoral college vote.

You'd think after getting bit in the ass by the Harry Reid "Nuclear Option" the Democrats would learn a lesson.

Maj John Bell I recognize that those are all solidly blue states, so no impact will be made. In the event this actually happens to affect the outcome, it'll go to the Supreme Court, where it will be resolved permanently. My guess is the snowflakes dont want to see this case in court.

I watched the video, sure Occasional-Cortex will compromise, as long as you do things her way. Look at how she is threatening moderate Democrats.
