Some drugs do work, but others get approved too quickly. Some improve symptoms, but actual treatment or cure is different. Extensive trials can proving effectiveness, but take money and time.

The drug companies just want to push them into the system no matter what, they definitely need to test them more before saturating the system with them.

For me, particularly problematic is the incessant advertising on the media to boost demand at the user end. That creates even greater pressures to prescribe and higher expectations than are reasonable for a cure.
