Opinion: U.N. Condemns Republican Bills Criminalizing Peaceful Protests

Slightly biased article. There shouldn't have to be a law enacted to address unlawful activity at a protest, since there all ready laws that cover disturbing the peace, assault, destruction of property and obstruction of justice.
Too many criminals have tried to use the guise of "peaceful protests" to simply break the law. Law Enforcement should have been playing "catch up" on these thugs heads with batons for the past few decades.
