In the Reactionary Force, (a fancy name for parameter defense) HQ, MACV, RVN, 1969, we had the same requirement, accounting for all rounds issued. When we held guard mount and were issued ammunition, we had to count each round. If nothing happened that night, we better turn in the same amount of rounds when we went off duty.

I enjoyed the article - it may be UK Army in its writing - but sure did remind me of some units I was in...... alot. lol One CA element and its staff in particular in that disorder aspect...
