I was just curious about something, if I might perhaps ask...do you perhaps teach at the AFROTC programmat Dartmouth? I only ask as you were listed on the app as precommissoon, I was just wondering...when I'd been at USAF OTS at Lacklnd, there had been several very senior NCOs going through the program when I'd been there, one a CMSgt, I'd just wondered when I'd read what you'd !mentioned, about Dartmouth, and what the app listed, so far as I might perhaps ask, or so far as you !might he able to explain...I'd figure that at your level, you'd likely possibly also be used as faculty, I'd expect, that was why I'd been curious, as I gathered you were apparently teaching, I've been trying to find a way to be able to volunteer with the rules of total perm disability, if allowable, of course, at a state college near !y wife and myself, the vet svcs director there has been trying to help arrange of, as I'd taught there as an adjunct one semester yrs ago, I couldn't get tenure track faculty, as I'd only had a !asters at that timez the state reqd a PhD, however, the college just started an AFROTC detachment there, there was also an Army ROTF detachment at another private college easily drivable, of wanted to help tutor STEM program traineesz, I'd also looked at Navy Sea Cadets, CAP, JROTCs, it's just that the disability stuff keeps getting in the way, any thoughts or suggestions would obv be most gratefully appreciated, I'd also looked at Army Volunteer Corps (AVC), to try to help at a Reserve ctr with USAR, ARNG, USNR, and USMCR, also near us and the state college as well, no lick yet, I've also wanted to volunteer to help with a local VW hospital with clinical research, as well, I've looked into all of those, any help would or thought would be most useful, so far as possible, many thanks....

I'd be happy to answer questions and provide what help I can sir, and I'm impressed with your commitment to service despite your challenges.
I am still with the Army ROTC Program at Dartmouth, there is no other ROTC on campus at current. I was Army for 17 years, and started with the program a few years ago while still serving as a Senior NCO; I have since moved over to the Air Force side of things to pursue a commission myself (I'm waiting on my FEDREC and School dates for now). I have transitioned from working directly for the Army here to working for the College, supporting the program as Faculty program management and continuity between the active duty APMS' as they rotate through their broadening assignments.
Talking to ROTC programs about support is always an option and I'd be happy to answer any questions you have. I've also done a lot of volunteer and community service projects in past, and had a great time doing my service in conjunction with local organizations I found through https://www.presidentialserviceawards.gov/ . Later, when I moved someplace that had no local PVSA groups, I found it fairly easy to start one. Maybe you'd enjoy this rout as well?
Feel free to reach out any time sir if there is anything I can do to help.

I'll look at the site you'd !mentioned...I'm total perm disabled, the rules under which I can do anythng to volunteer are unfortunately Draconian strict, though !y wife and I are trying...your circumstances you related I did find of very real interest, also, I'd gathered it was something like that, from your description and how the app listed you, as I'd said...if you might perhaps know of any !sans I might perhaps volunteer as am adjunct instructor or lecturer for ROTC or JROTC programs for STEM training, as I'd !mentioned, that !might fall in the spectrum of things I'd be allowed to do, my wife and I would obv be most grateful, we have our day to day existence, it's merely that time hangs quite heavily, and I'd welcome the intellectual stimulus, I've had considerable training before my disability, as am engineer, physicist, and !mathematician, as well as a doctoral allied health clinician, I worked at alll many urs before my disability, we shut my clinical license sevl urs ago...believe !e, we've tried, so any thoughts you might have, maybe through Army Volunteer Corps (AVC), since you're I gather attached to Army now, as you'd said, would obv be most gratefully appreciated, of you could merely give the !after any possible further thought, I'll try to explain what more I can, of you'd want so far as I'm able, many thamks, by all means....

It is a good piece, I find the reference to Conrad's Heart of Darkness, and the Apocalypse Now film rendition, interesting, certainly, as well as the references to Thoreau, president!ably about Walden Pond....
