Good post LTC Ivan Raiklin, Esq.. I can't help but think that both countries aren't being a bit selfish. After all, if the Taliban would be less active maybe the Bully Americans might lessen their presence in the area and then the "Stans" could go about their own business, which we may or may not approve of.

1stSgt Nelson Kerr - I was being a bit sarcastic, Shirt. If we were harboring willingly or not, terrorist bent on attacking another country I would think that that country would be highly concerned with what our intentions are.

TSgt David L. - Would we be willing to allow them to kill innocent US civilians to get their enemies? what I was saying is that their goals and ours differ and what is good for us is often bad for them. The Taliban is not their ebimy to any significant degree, Al Qaeda and ISIS are. But they know that those are different groups not an single entity

1stSgt Nelson Kerr - We probably wouldn't like or put up with a foreign power on our soil in any form. They may see the difference between our battle with Taliban and Al Qaeda, but I don't know that the average person here does. Or if it matters to them.

TSgt David L. - The fact that we do not care about the difference is a major part of the problem, from their point of view we do not seem to care how many Pakistanis we kill either.
