SrA John Monette things can get really messy really fast. I’m thinking the same thing you are, but I’d rather let the witnesses provide clarity than speculate. The issue that comes up is how tainted their memories are. Whether from talking to each other about it or hearing the events recounted inaccurately. Everyone present has a unique perspective to add. I’m not seeing this as a rogue platoon looking to kill Syrians situation.

SFC James Cameron - Memories do get grayer with time. Nobody is going to have the exact same memory of what happened. If they did, that is when I would get really concerned that it was a straight-up murder.

So I think that people that do not know how such things do or do not happen should stay out of it.

SGT Charles Bartell - I readily admit that I have never been in combat. That is why I told SFC James Cameron that I'd listen to his experience on this matter. Far be it from me to say absolutely one way or the other. I have my opinion and questions.
