Parents infuriated after controversial sex worksheet given out at Oklahoma middle school

Went through this with my daughter. They had a course called family life. Sex education was part of the syllabus. When I asked to see the course syllabus an materials, all they would give me and my wife was a two page handout that listed subjects.

As an example; among the non-sex ed subjects were "What is the role of a daughter in the family?" But they refused to provide for review any material that would give the State's opinion of what my daughter's role in the family was. Although text books for every other class were available 30 days prior to the start of school, the "Family Life" text book was unavailable until the first day of classes. My friend who is a teacher informed in a quiet aside, that the Principal was hoping the parents who were asking questions would forget.

Let's just say that with the exception of biological function, the entire text book was objectionable. Three weeks into the class over 75% of the parents had pulled their kids.
