In 1972 at Dallas airport we were turning onto the runway when I looked out the window and saw another jet preparing to land where we were going to take off. I elbowed the soldier next to me and said LOOK ! The pilot sped up and took a left off the runway. The incoming jet then just passed us by. That kind of stuff never made the news back then.

Yep, now however We hear about everything even if noting actually resulted. Seems the new media is quick to print anything they can make a story out of.
