Thankfully more installations are scanning the IDs and not just using visual checks. We need to get to 100% if the law is going to allow crap like this to be sold. Like fake police badges, unless you know what to look for one can fool anyone.

I think if someone really wants to fool the gate guards they can buy a card printer for about $200 and make plenty of them.
That said, I don't know. I have a novelty "IT God" ID card that I made at work using their hundred trillion dollar printer and I see it getting some good laughs.

Pasting US Code regarding counterfeiting of military passes. While this novelty is not an explicit forgery attempt, the makers may want to hire a lawyer based on very similar likeness.
