My inlaws are farmers and have been their whole lives. They have seen the ups and downs with respect or lack thereof to the people who work to feed America. They are up at the crack of dawn and go to bed late at night. Farmers don't just get up on a tractor and drive...Farming is hard labor and anyone that has not been part of it or has not seen it doesn't understand. Most people think that Beef, chicken, pork, lamb, milk, eggs, vegetables etc come from and are produced at a supermarket. I grew up in a farm town and witnessed a lot of farmers being put out of business because of the Carter grain embargo and other presidential/congressional orders. I have seen grain rot on the ground because farmers had nowhere to sell it. If they could sell it, it was at the set price...non negotiable...also, seed and gas prices were on the rise. One Christmas, I know a family that had a rough year and all they could give each other was a new towel each. Their daughter got a few things but just enough to say it was Christmas. She or they never complained because even though it was a tough year, they had each other and Spring was coming
Farmers are the backbone of America and get treated like the Rodney Dangerfields of America. The current generation of farmers is aging and their kids want nothing of it because there is no return for their hard work because of all the regulations and costs to farm. Some years they go to work just to break even. Their parents also don't want them to go through what they went through and want better for them. Pretty soon we are going to run out of true farmers and we will be in a hurt because America doesn't care until it hits them at the grocery store. Comedians like Samantha Bee mock them but will be the first one screaming when there aren't any eggs or milk or meat or it is too high for them to afford. Mike Rowe was right when he said the sacrifices are too many to list. Just my two cents.

I like your 2 cents worth.......we also have a new generation that believes food is a commodity to be ordered online.........

Main stream media isn't overly worried about common people, until they decide to hold a rally to stop certain things from happening, like the farmers boycotting in the '70 when the price of fuel went up, stuff like that gets their attention.

Sadly, I don't think that would get their attention today. They are fully committed to the Leftist narrative. That is all they will report.

My inlaws are farmers also, I have been blessed to be apart of their family. My job i have now wouldn't be possible without what farmers provide for the masses. God bless the farmer who feeds us, clothes us and create an economy for us.
