Jobs are good. Pollution... not so much. Where is clean coal technology? Where is training for miners into other fields?

A couple of points from the article many may miss. This company started work to open this mine last August, when Obama was president and few thought Trump would become president. So this opening ceremony today and the jobs created have nothing to do with any new policies or promises put out by Trump. And second, it states they are mining metallurgical coal, which is cleaner than the coal used in power plants. And third, it states it doesn't represent any real renewal of the coal industry, which still faces significant competition issues vs other energy sources. The truth is that coal is a fading industry and trying to artificially prop it up would be like trying to prop up the candle industry when people started switching to electric lights.

I read that the mine only employs 100 people. Not a big impact!
