Today is Saint Patrick's Day! This not the stupid Cinco De Mayo. Drink Responsibly!
I am half Irish and I don't believe in drinking and I'm ashamed of drunk Irishmen and women being a problem and that's why, back of the 19th century, racist Americans invented the term' Paddy Wagon' referring to Irish immigrants being drunk all the time put in the police wagon. Many in my family, including my belated sister, were problem drinkers and ended up committing suicide. Stay sober and seek help from aa.org and hang around with sober people if you have issues with drinking and addictions.
The recent Marine Corps Reserve lieutenant colonel in California who, worked for the DEA in Los Angeles area, drank with his buddies all night and then went home and shot himself. He left no note but he worked too hard, told his buddies that night and snapped after drinking too much. A colonel in my training Brigade went to his funeral two days ago. Be spiritual and stay off the bottle!
In 1996, We had the Chief of Naval Operations commit suicide. We had a General from Fort Sill, Oklahoma and a couple years back, and aMarine Corps Reserve Lt. Col Commit Suicide a few days ago. The last one I mentioned was drinking but I am not sure about the other two. Be spiritual and seek help if you are overwhelmed in life. All 3 were great leaders but all 3 snapped!
Anyways, Saint Patrick brought Christianity to Ireland. I have a book laying around the house which discusses How the Irish in St Patrick saved Europe during the Dark Ages. St Patrick is not about drinking! Anyways, happy Sunday and here is a video from Depeche Mode that I recorded last October 27th, 2017 just before my birthday. Depeche Mode came to Edmonton and here is their song Personal Jesus. It was our last song of the concert. Happy Sunday everyone!
