SFC George Smith You are perfectly safe from a stick... as long as you are not an inanimate object... or close to an inanimate object when it becomes the victim of the stick.

@1SG James W. It is six ounces of vulcanized rubber traveling speeds that can exceed 100 Miles an hour. That is why a lot of hockey players have such wonderful smiles.

They are also kept frozen so that they don't bounce on the ice as much.
