I just think it's funny (in a twisted sort of way) that politicians don't want to think about planning for a nuclear strike on their city, so they outlaw preparing for it. There should be some sort of psychological test for those seeking public office; apparently we have too many who are teetering on the edge of sanity.

I think it makes sense for Seattle to re-engage with options on "preparing for the worst." Heck, the CDC has a Zombie Preparedness Page with tips on how to prepare for the Zombie Apocalypse. Why? Because if they can get people in the mindset of preparing for that, the people will already be in the mindset to prepare for actual issues.

MAJ Bryan Zeski - North Korea has never conducted an atmospheric burst and it's underground tests were small enough that the could have been conventional. So far their missiles have been erratic, one was only 60 miles from Russia. Erratic is not good with nukes.
