I want to introduce you all to the first car I will be restoring on my break from architecture. I have in my possession a 1972 Plymouth 'Cuda, and yes...it has the 426 Hemi in it. I found it in a barn on a Missouri farm in 2015 that my wife's cousin worked at. It has since been sitting in my storage car port covered. I bought it for $12,000 (yes, it needs a lot of work, hence how cheap it was) and have been collecting parts I need for it since then.
I will not be doing a factory restoration on it, rather I will will turn it into a Super Muscle Car. It will have all the bells and whistles of a modern car, but still maintain the look of classic American Muscle. Upgraded suspension, handling, brakes and drive train.
When I first bought it, I fidgeted with the engine a bit and it did run (surprisingly) but it did NOT run well. I am hoping to not have to replace it, because stock HemiCuda 426 engines are rare and I would prefer to be able to use it. I am unsure of the state of the transmission as I didn't actually get to drive it around.
My goal is to get it show ready and auction it off for a hefty profit once it is complete.
And yes, I will still be working on my wife's 73 Beetle. My wife has suggested that I record and photograph the experience, but when I get to working I always forget to document it. But I'll try this time, it is sure to be one hell of a project.

SGT David A. 'Cowboy' Groth - I had a friend in the 80's that had a 71 Cuda with a 440 tri-pack, parked under a tree rotting away, I asked if he would sale it to me, but he said no. Later in the years he told me that he let it rote away, it's was ok, I had a 55 Chevy that I put together.
