After many years I only fully trust 5 people and I don't trust anyone with my daughter...PERIOD. And that is a shame because I grew up in a town where when you woke up the in the morning you were out the door and then when the streetlights came on you came home. You trusted everyone of your friends and their parents. Unfortunately, the mindset of mistrust has trickled over into her and I didn't want that to be her life. I want her to wary of her surroundings but not afraid. She is there now because of stuff like this and she doesn't trust too many people.

I taught school for 9 years, our team had a 13 year old girl steal her step dads car, drive 300 miles to be with her 32 year old boy friend. Did not work out to well for him, they arrested him at a motel and sent her back and put her in Juvenile detention. It is a messed up world out there. I hope they track this guy down and put in away for life.

But is he totally to blame for this? Like you said, the 13 year old stole her stepdad's car and drove 300 miles to be with her 32 year old boyfriend. There are two sides to every story, and I don't know either side, looking in from the outside. But what I do see is a grown man that should have had the mindset to put an end to whatever was going on and not get caught up in this "kidnapping" that is going to cost him everything from this point forward. I just cannot imagine that this young lady did not play a small part in this. She had a chance (even though she is not of consenting age) to end whatever this relationship is between her and her teacher (this grown man) is. Her father, and the school administrators told her to stay away from him, but her phone records show otherwise. We have a lot of young men in jail/prison because some young lady cried "rape" after the fact. I just wish I knew the whole story.........
