Is it really the "most important election" if they have one every other year and still can't figure Brexit out? Seems to me that there is a close divide and that lack of mandate perpetuates the gridlock.

Thing is, if they don't break that gridlock one way or the other and crash out of the EU, there's at least a 50/50 chance North Ireland and/or Scotland will successfully secede.
