Pourdavoud Center for the Study of the Iranian World established at UCLA

Granddaughter of deceased Professor Ebrahim Pourdavoud and Practicing Clinical Psychologist Dr. Anahita Naficy Lovelace, and her husband, Capital Group Equity Portfolio Manager James B. Lovelace gifted UCLA to establish the Pourdavoud Center for the Study of the Iranian World, the first Western Center of Excellence (CoE) aimed at advancing knowledge of ancient Iranian languages, history and religions. "According to UCLA's Program Director of Iranian Studies, M. Rahim Shayegan, "Pourdavoud profoundly affected Iranian society by resurrecting and identifying ancient Persia as a positive force for societal progress in contemporary Iran."

I've read those over 25,000 Persian Americans within the southern California area and they have the biggest anti-iran TV internet influence as well. That is great that Centre is helping keep the Iranian culture from the past such as that one of the first monotheistic religion Zoroastrianism which I believe would be persecuted in Iran today if they practiced it.

There are tens of thousands of Zoroastrians practicing their religion in Iran. Iran is far more accepting and tolerant of religious minorities than Saudi Arabia.
