I am all about cause and effect and root cause. The President asserts that the root cause is the criminal justice system and a systematic institutional problem in law enforcement. My question is the root cause something larger, e.g. breakdown in a moral standard in society, lack of family values in America for all Americans, breakdown in the rule of law? What are your thoughts.

I have six kids ages 18, 18, 16, 16, 15 and 11 (two sets of twins). Four girls and two boys. All get good grades, all that are old enough have jobs (15 and up) are working. They pay for their own cell phones and service they pay for the cable and internet they have. None of them have been in trouble with the law, no one is pregnant all have respect for adults and law enforcement. We did not spare the rod and I am not shown disrespect in my own home. I have friends and family that did not law down rules and punishment in their homes and their kids are the worst of the worst. Family values and respect are missing in most homes today. That is the root of the problem.

I agree that is how my family was raised. I keep tight tabs on my youngest son that is still at home 16 year old. I keep close track of my grandchildren as well. I only want the best for them.

I also have six children ages 16-5 five boys and a girl towards the end. Our children have been taught right from wrong. We have raised them properly removed the negative influences in the public schools by sacrificing time and money to home school our children. We ensure they are socially adjusted by surrounding them with like minded families through our local churches. My oldest son started his own law mowing business at 14 with an old school manual push mower. Made enough money to afford a gas powered self propel mower weed eater hedge trimmers a lap top and and any thing else he wanted. He even started hiring his brothers to help. My children say yes sir and yes ma'am. I have only heard praise about my children because they are something I love and invest in. Not just an accessory or a tax right off.

Thank you but most of the credit goes to my wife. I'm not home enough to claim it but I do my best to set a good example for them to follow by leading from the front both at work and at home and by sacrificing my desires to ensure my wife is home to raise them right and not some hired hand.
