This is about the one thousandth time we have heard from the left wing media that Trumps days are numbered. You are like Charlie Brown, every time Lucy puts the ball on the tee, you make the run at it to kick it, she pulls it away and you are laying flat on your back, disappointed that you fell for the same thing again.

So first you have to look at Cohens background prior to meeting Donald Trump to understand how all this happened where Trump and Cohen developed a business relationship. Cohen prior to Trump was pretty much a groupie for rich people or high visibility politicians and he had an established borderline reputation prior to Trump.

Second, It would be highly uncharacteristic of Trump to send a personal injury lawyer to negotiate on behalf of a major construction project. Most especially a lawyer with no expertise or background in international affairs, real estate or construction litigation. He has far more capable people in the Trump organization. So I have my doubts the story is true just based on that.

We are talking a potential construction project over a Billion dollars in expenditure, would you send someone like Cohen to negotiate on your behalf given his complete lack of background?. Additionally, lawyers can get disbarred for lying even if directed to do so from a client (which is also not a legal excuse for lying). Cohen was disbarred in 2018 and has nothing else to lose by openly lying publicly with allegations. I am sure Mob lawyers lie based on direction of the Mob all the time but they are not a lawyer you would normally believe in court as Mr Cohen should be. Last and not least, as stated by POTUS, Mr Cohen was not Trumps primary lawyer, so the errand to Moscow also does not make sense from that perspective either. Trumps characterization of him as not his Primary Lawyer fits with his titles in the Trump Organization prior to all this controversy, he was never in a leadership position in anything. Trump gives out Vice President and Co President titles as freely as most banks do. Cohen was never a CEO or Executive VP or even primary President in any Trump venture. In short the story does not add up to me.
