Remember when we were kids, and we all gravitated to our own "tribes"... each with its own "rules" and status in the "pecking order"? Do you remember who usually had the highest place in that order? Think most of these folks were part of it? I don't.
When we were kids, and before things like litigation, HR, and fiscal accountability entered our lives... a lot was left up to how well you could "fit in" with others, negotiate the complexities of playing the "popularity game", and if needs be... back yourself up at some level, physically. Somehow, once we grow up, none of that really seems to apply any longer. People who are generally despised by their coworkers often get promoted. Those who seem incapable of forging strong ties with their peers, never the less seem to placed in authority over them. Neighbor waking you and your infant up in the middle of the night to walk their three tiny dogs? Sorry... you can't do anything about it. Tired of the person at work who just HAS to be handled with kid gloves? Ooops... don't want to have a claim made against you. Some folks seem to have figured out that in our society, you can pretty much do what you please, so long as you can find a "legal" way to make opposition to it grounds for a lawsuit or charge. Again, what kind of person does that system favor... the sort who stand up for things, or the sort who stand behind things?
Just a thought.

Amazing, simply amazing. The idiots have lost their collective minds, or whatever they had.
