The scope of this is very interesting. We need something different than the worn out same ole thing that is no longer what the PI wants. And we need something past the short term solution set we always offer --- something further in range.

I suspect this will be a Special Forces centric mission to help the Philippines fight Muslim and Communists insurgents.

Agree - the however is will it be any different than the past - and despite some outstanding efforts - our focus was too narrow and short term.. and so were the gains we made. 2007 and 2017 were worlds apart in the Philippines.. and the enemy had changed even though we really had not.
