Protesters and police clash in Hong Kong after peaceful march

It seems likely to me that the protests in Hong Kong will serve to hasten the end of the illusion of freedom in that city. It is just the excuse that the Chinese Communists need to quash the unruly mobs incited by democracy and the rule of law.

the very idea of Communist China embracing "Freedom" Is a ginormous joke... Freedom to control the market and work people like slaves is the Communist model of freedom...

Despite the issue, government retaliation limiting freedoms or totally taking them away is always a real danger there. I have often wondered how long the agreement would last and China would revert to what it truly is
