"It' the economy stupid" applies to Russia as well as everywhere else. Putin experiences increasing political pressures at home due to the stagnant local economy, partially driven by low energy prices (which are in turn partially driven by increases in US production). Putin will need external distractions to keep people's mind off of the economy. I will be interesting to watch what they may be.

Most interesting... Just Like here ... as long as Everyone agreed with the Policies and they were getting their Fair Share ... no matter Who was paying for it... they were not Upset ... Now that someone wants to clean Up the graft and corruption By Installing someone other than career Criminal Politicians the masses ... of Progressives and Liberals are going Crazy... they Might lose their freebies and hand outs...
