PTSD among Police Officers: Impact on Critical Decision Making

How could the military combine with police to identify and improve the same situation of those affected by this?

Police and Military Swore an Oath the Defend the Constitution and its Preamble

We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence,[note 1] promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

I think that Police have a difficult job having to Walk up cars they pulled over not knowing what they are getting involved in. I think police have to deal with such issues as those who don't respect them simply because of a uniform. It is discpicable. Then they have to deal at an early age possibly hardened bad people and situations that will mark them quick.

I have to say that all in all Police need more understanding. They need more cover. And Society needs to police itself and individually live up to the ideals of the Constitutions Preamble.


Having a job looking for those doing things wrong is an intense job. I believe Citizens in general have a hard time appreciating the things that police and or military will swear and oath and train to death to accomplish and the experiences life and death experienced on a routine basis all for honor pride and betterment.

I really believe this PTSD thing it will change people and they do not even know it. Hence you see actions that otherwise you would not normally expect under duress.
