Interesting. I wonder if the Purdue Global will hold the same weight as a Purdue degree. I personly know the veteran coordinator at Purdue and would like to know his thoughts on this.

I like that fact that if you already obtained a degree from Kaplan University in the past, you can request a new Diploma. This way you can put the name "Purdue University" on your resume. However, with many places, I am sure this merger is a well know fact. The curriculum is still the same from what I understand, but Purdue is using this to expand there online degree program, or am I wrong.
The only thing is, this is still an online degree program, and not a brick and mortar institution. So no matter what name (Purdue University) is on it, the fact that this is still an online degree program might not carry as much weight when applying for jobs. I have heard that many institutions across the United States and the World look at online degree programs differently than others physical school Degrees, mainly because of the "Quality" of education. What do you think?
I am curious to see if Kaplan's Military friendly degree programs will change at all. I can honestly say that through my 8 years of Military experience, I transferred my "experience" to compete NUMEROUS classes. So to obtain my associates degree, I only took 5 classes. So back to quality of education, and looking down on online degree, do you think anything will change from a hiring and University perspective, when trying to apply to a masters program or something.
