Putin’s Attack on Ukraine Shows the Danger of Believing Your Own Hype

When Castro took power, he flew to DC and wanted to meet with President Eisenhower, who blew him off, so he turned to Russia. So many times in history we botched things like that, Russia after the collapse, and it game back to bite us in the arse.

Don’t get too up in our propaganda either. Despite the problems we see, Russia will prevail unless God intervenes. Putin doesn’t care about the troops, the civilians, his image or the sanctions. Unless some one or something convinces Putin otherwise he will encircle and grind down the urban areas, seal Ukraine’s border then pacify the countryside. I do wish it were otherwise. Ukraine’s and the rest of the world’s only hope is if the cost becomes too high for Putin. I pray our leaders don’t decide to keep the conflict going to drain Russia.
