Putin sends troops to Russia's border with North Korea

Three trainloads of tanks, helicopters and troops for an 11 mile border! Whats he (Putin) going to do, put a tank every 100 meters? Well, the silver lining is that NK is more isolated than ever!

If I were Russia or China, in this situation, I would be doing the same thing. However, in the event of hostilities, I would use the opportunity to grab some real estate. Perhaps the Chinese are supplying the infantry and the Russians are supplying the armor, artillery, and airpower. NK's nuclear research stuff seem to be in the north of their country-- an easy grab for the Russians and/or Chinese and put a stop to the entire situation while expanding their territories.

Or I could just have read too many Tom Clancy and Brad Thor books....

I would consider this a prudent move given the known instability of NK's leader.
