What a lot of folks don't understand about the RC's is that the whole idea is to protect the Chruch, no matter what.
I was a cradle-catholic - born into it. 3rd generation born in this country Irish-Catholics. Attended parochial schools, taught by nuns exclusively until entering public school in 9th grade. I mentally checked-out of catholicism at age 14, walked away from it completely at age 17. Only times I've been in a church since 1968 were for a wedding or a funeral.

SSG Dennis R. Oh I Understand So Very Well. Both Parents were Lay Catholic Ministers. Mother Wrote the Craft Book that was used in Catholic Sunday School for Ages "Self and Community". I did the Parochial School thing for a Couple of Years but Me and the German Nuns didn't get along so good. Raised in a German/Irish/Black Catholic Community. My Heritage Prussian (Home of Martin Luther start of the Protestant Reformation) Bavarian (Defenders of the Catholic Faith) Lietz (German Jew). People Forget Germany used to be Called the "Holy Roman Empire" If You Weren't German, Germans didn't really consider You a Christian. Catholics, Protestants, Lutherans (Christians) Enabled the Nazi Movement.
