Exactly. Taking a second amendment right without sufficient cause is wrong

Charlie dont tell everything in your arsenal but what is your favorite gun? I have several and dont own a few that I think would be great additions i.e. SIG 229 .357sig. Holy Jesus! I love the gun, the frame and that caliber knocks it out of the park. DAMN!!!

Cayle I think a good start before we decide make a bunch of new laws is the answer, lets try enforcing the ones we already have. I served as a Narcotics Agent/Supervisor for some years and have no idea how many times I have kicked some convicted jackasses door off the hinges only to find him or her with a tun of gun in hands reach. This is simply one example, those agents dont get paid enough to take a bullet through the head by the aforementioned jackass because some pencil neck geek somewhere thought it was okay not to check for felony record. I have no idea how many times the weapon that was in hands reach was an AK-47, SKS or like weapon. Just so we are clear the would punch a nice size hole right through a normal vest. What in the hell? I have guns, I am kind of fond of guns, I have carried guns all over the world including church. With that being said there are some jackasses that have no business with a gun.
So again I love my guns, my wife has a gun or two but if a jackass how has already made the "list" and has a gun, beat that son of bitch with a bat.

Just for the record I went back and reread your post, not trying to find anything wrong but it made me smile. If I am elected emperor of the world you will be getting a call. Odds are you are pretty safe that you will never get the call but just in case.

The way I read it "While in Chicago, Rauner signed one gun control measure that allows police or family members to prove in court that a person with guns is suffering from mental health or other problems and threatening harm" , it must be proven in court. I have not seen the wording in the bill. But, if the above allows for due process, I okay. If, however, due process in not being done, then no.
If police or family members are going to prove mental illness, I would think they would need mental health professionals to testify. Likewise I would think the same would be afforded the accused.
Just my opinion after reading the post.

I agree, that's what it sounds like. I've seen other places skip for process, and will immediately confiscate, they then have 7 days to prove mental illness.
