Re-entry day to our home on Fort Myers Beach. Bridge to curve.

There has been much discussion about Hurricane IAN, which ravaged SW FLorida! Lee County was hit the hardest, with 15-18 feet of storm surge and 150 mph wiping out most first level homes... I saw one clip where one building was lifted off its foundation, floated away down a street and then was disintegrated by the ravaging surge!!! Over 45 people died and thousands unaccounted for in this tragedy, as I recall from the news reports, and thousands are now homeless. The island is still in a state of disaster! It has been several weeks since the storm, but this short video will provide you some idea of the wreckage as it still looks like a war zone!!! Comment if you wish...

This video commences at the Matanzas Pass Bridge going into the Once Main area of Fort Myers Beach called Times Square, where all the action has been... Even after two plus weeks, it still is a War Zone!

My wife and I own a condominium a few miles away and we had over 5 feet of storm surge, All first level homes were flooded with 3-5 feet of salt water which inundated our golf course area and all the homes. We lucked out to some degree, because our Unit is on the 2nd level and escaped... Not so good for our SUV since it has since been totaled by our insurance company...
We have friends who have lost everything!!! We will overcome and get back to some level of what we had in about a year or so. Others are not so lucky... I pray for them...
