Reality check: What's really in the Texas voting reform bill?

What the Democrats are essentially alluding to is something like this. Let's say somehow a local government official in Texas institutionalized a way to implement a pure vote-by-Internet process, without any assurances of non-repudiation/ID confirmation. You simply go to the URL bring up the ballot on a browser, vote, and hit submit. That would be pretty damn easy right?

So then let's say a GOP legislative session, concerned about the fact we don't know who is voting and how many times, came out and prohibited such a process. Would one be able to say the GOP just made it harder for people to vote? Could they even narrow it down by saying they just made it harder for (insert the group of people you're trying to appeal to here) to vote? Absolutely!

The fact is, Texas is one of the easiest states in which one can vote, regardless of your ethnic origins. They also have several other more accommodating voting rules than several other Democrat controlled states. But we don't hear the MSM bitching about that do we?

This isn't rocket science and the fact that some people are making it out to be only creates the perception that people are tampering with the process on a significant scale.

Voting should be this simple:
1. You register to vote - Most states allow you to do this when you get your drivers license, which is free for those who cannot afford one. If you don't drive, you can still get an ID card.
2. Know when to vote - There are tons of resources to figure this out (internet, local government offices, news...)
3. Be prepared to vote - If you won't be available physically to vote, exercise the ability which all states have to request a mail in ballot. This should only be granted if you truly have a need for it. Otherwise, go to your local precinct ballot location and vote. If you need help, there are resources to make this happen. To speed things along, get a copy of your ballot BEFORE you go and know what you plan to do before you get there. That way, people in the back of the line, or those considering getting in the line, are more willing to wait.
4. Vote

We should not be sending unsolicited mail in ballots and we absolutely need to have a means to easily ensure those who vote are legally allowed to do so. Finally I have no problem with Texas implementing system in which to not only verify legal votes, but to also make sure those working in the polling stations are tampering with the votes. We're already working to install body cams on every Police Officer (people who literally swear to Protect and Serve their community) in the country. In some cases these have proved to be useful in identifying the bad behavior of the few and they serve as a deterrent. So then I have to ask, if this is a good thing (which I believe it can be), why are the Democrats pushing back on installing them at polling stations? Why are some making up scenarios that in Texas a bunch of white, armed Republicans will potentially be looking over everyone's shoulder, not to ensure voting integrity, but to intimidate people? It's all BS and the Democrats are fanning the flame. It' needs to stop.
