Sgt Kelli Mays - Yeah, I realize that. I'm more or less hoping that someone else will see it and recognize his nonsense as exactly that.

Love your comment brother Dwayne. God never was religion, man invented that. That's why there are countless denominations. The same as the saying "keep Christ in christmas" Christ never was and never will be in christmas, because it's a pagan holiday.

Kind of a douchebag move to post "recovering from religion" video on a day that is sacred to those that believe.... way to be tolerant!

MAJ (Join to see) - I asked if you believed that it conflicts with your oath. You say that it doesn't. I'm not going to argue that point, as the law is not clear on that, and my intent was to see what your thought process was. You've explained it.

Capt Gregory Prickett - Is there not a difference between tests established by LAW and tests devised by private citizens? The Bill of Rights places limits on government, on private individuals; may be... may be not. How far would an Episcopalian candidate for office get with a law suit against a Catholic, If the Catholic publicly stated "I would have voted for him... but he's an Episcopalian." Voting is an act by a private citizen, not a governmental body.

Congress may not limit your free speech, enjoined from civil or criminal infractions against you. (there are obvious exception accepted because of overwhelming public interest.) But I as a private citizen may restrict your free speech, in a given set of circumstances, in ways that are far more restrictive. "You may not use your cell phone at work." "You may not tell customers to go screw themselves." etc.

Maj John Bell - religious discrimination can also be by a private actor. For example, in Seattle, an employer fired a worker who refused to attend Bible classes that were conducted on the clock. That's flatly illegal. If you refuse to rent an apartment to someone based on their religious beliefs, or lack thereof, it's illegal.

Citizens in numerous locations have attempted to have atheists removed from office because the state constitution requires a belief in a god or a higher power.

LT Brad McInnis - True that. I don't think I have had one good interaction with him...I started to reply, but decided it not to. It will only proceed to an argument that will not go anywhere except to lead to great frustration.
