In Dawsonville County, we can take our recycling to the transfer Station. We have been informed that in the very near future we will no longer be able to recycle plastics or glass. Apparently, it costs the county more than what they get in return. Until they actually get the new plan in place, I will continue to recycle.

Our recycling folks are not taking glass as it contaminates the rest of the materials. If you want to recycle it you have to take it to special locations in the county. Otherwise it goes in the trash
