Chris Cornell, the 52 year old singer of Soundgarden, died by hanging self. It was suicide. My sister also hung herself at age 49 and committed suicide. I don't know all the details but I suspect the or alcohol and depression were factors in Chris Cornell's death though I can't prove it at this time. Don't drink, don't smoke, don't drink any alcohol if you have a substance abused problem with emotional issues. Seek professional help, contact alcoholics and or Narcotics Anonymous to help oneself be sober and not end up like Chris Cornell. My condolences to Chris Cornell's wife and family

So, I just read, once again, that he was found with a band around me his neck, but this story said that his wife called a family friend who went to the room and forced his way in and found him. Now, either he was on the phone with her, saying something that led her to believe he was going to off himself before he hung up, or they were having a bit of freaky phone fun, with some autoerotic asphyxiation on his part, and he did not pull through....those are my two theories....and I am going with Number 2.

I saw this this morning and was saddened, as I was, and still am, a huge Soundgarden fan. Not only was he extremely talented, he had overcome so much and was extremely generous. I also read that he was found with a cord around his neck and that his death was ruled a suicide, making me instantly think that maybe it was not a suicide, but possibly an accident, in the same vein as David Carradine. Just a thought.

I was in basic training at Fort McClellan going to the PX to pay for some stuff when the cashier told us that Kurt Cobain killed himself that was back in mid 1994.

LTC (Join to see) - Yeah, auto-erotic asphyxiation does not sound like my idea of a good time, especially when death could be one of the results. I also remember when Cobain died, as I had just graduated PLDC at Fort Bliss and was drinking beer in my barracks room and watching MTV.

LTC (Join to see) - the place I actually thought was that the clothing sales not the PX and I remember when we used to have to send it attention take a step to go to pray dress or I saw the newspaper stand to my left when President Nixon had passed away. News was sketchy different basic training. I just heard on NPR a few minutes ago that's why I posted it not annoying was actually almost 12 hours ago but the coroner said it is confirmed a suicide now. It is so sad I mean what is it with people today?
