Steve, (and this is an honest question) Why isn't the United States supplying Canada with somewhat older versions of our good tactical fighters. Canada is just as important to protect as the United States. We could offer them full support on purchases of parts and complete maintenance training as well as missiles and other weaponry. Our manufactures would still prosper and the Canadian Air Force would be able to rely on us for immediate assistance with any operations. Canada would of course be expected to pick up the financial burden, yet it would be immensely cheaper than purchasing brand new equipment. A modern fighter jet is a fearsome machine even if it's not the latest and greatest. I admit I really don't have a clue what our current level of cooperation is with the Canadian Air Force but I assume it is fairly intensive already.

LTC (Join to see) - Brilliant. Liberals are great at spending money they don't have. Kind of like the jackass from Manitoba who bought the first company I worked for, lost 90% of his owner operators in two weeks when he came in and told them they were going to make more money, then he fired the dispatcher, told him trucking had passed him by. He pictured himself flying his own airplane down here within two years.
Last news was that he folded in Canada, he folded down here two years ago. Guess trucking passed him by too?

PO3 John Wagner - Conservatives had their chance under Harper but they ignored the Destroyers rusting out. They went ahead with the F35 proposal but now that is dead. The F-18 stopgap plan is up in the air and so that means the remaining planes that Canada has need to be repaired or replaced soon or the CAF will have nothing left to fly in less than 10 years.

LTC (Join to see) - They will need to strap a whole bunch of Canada geese to a lightweight frame and suspend the pilot underneath. "Mush!!" The pilot will of course need to wear biohazard gear.. those geese shit a lot.
