The way My brain works; for the last couple of days I've been cogitating on the idea that urban areas and anthills have much in common. I decided to research it a little and found this reprint of a college text immediately. The title is; "Understanding Urban Ecosystems: An Ecological Economics Perspective". It addresses some of what I was thinking about, namely the non-sustainability of the system, it doesn't, however address My thoughts on the Hierarchy inherent in the 2 systems, namely the "Boss/Queen" sits in a highly defensible position and controls the workers and soldiers from afar with no input from them on what might make things better for the whole of the population. The "Boss" make pay lip service to the idea eg. Mayor Lightfoot. I know this goes way deeper than my usual postings, but that's My Brain.
