SCPO Morris Ramsey
PO1 William "Chip" Nagel I can understand that. But from what I am seeing it is fairly low tech.

SCPO Morris Ramsey - It is fairly basic Morris, and a week ago I didn't know they existed. Works off a sliding rear stock and causes the trigger finger to cycle faster than humanly possible. I shared a you tube video here on RP earlier this week from the mfgr but it's gone now. Just google or search you tube for bump stock or slide fire and there are tons. FWIW Sandy Annala shared 2 videos that show people doing basically the same without the mod. The non-mod method is not very stable and requires "hip shooting". I think the mods are going to be outlawed soon. They sold for $139 - $259. I saw some on cheapasdirt.com but they are all sold out now. Others also make a trigger crank for about $40 but they require turning a crank with trigger hand, so with the weapon being mounted it is very unstable.Videos of it are out there as well. I guess the next thing will be putting an electric drill on a trigger crank. American ingenuity, LOL. Hope this helps and take care.
"This video is no longer available because the YouTube account associated with this video has been terminated."
This is not a good sign but they have sold out so even if outlawed it's going to be virtually impossible to recover them all.

The use of bump stocks is meant to provide automatic, or near automatic, fire by going around the current federal prohibition against full auto. They should be banned immediately.

CW5 (Join to see) - The definitions are obvious and any discussion of them is simply talking semantics. The bottom line is that when a mechanical device is attached or modification to a semi-auto firearm is made, with the intent to produce an increase in the rate of fire beyond one-round-per trigger-pull, needs to be illegal.

I can fire my semiauto M1 Carbine at full auto cyclic rate without any internal or external modifications. It just takes practice.

SFC Thomas Butler - In your opinion, but by current law the BATFE interpreted it correctly.

Mr. Simon's statement at the beginning about a single trigger pull is incorrect both technically and legally. Mr. Dent's starting statements are opinion only and not technical or legal fact or justification.
And after listening to this (the whole thing) - It is a piece of political and editorial propaganda.
