I think this approach is better suited for I.D. persons with mental issues over gun purchases. I sell guns with my FFL lic. and no sales are done with or through a financial institution. Sales are cash or check made out to me. All sales are recorded and filed with ATF with a back ground check. Beyond the sale itself, I have no knowledge of a person's financial status nor does a sale in cash or check in a big box store. A credit card sale? Most likely. Her efforts are well intended but a pointless effort that leads to nowhere. Legal private party sales between two or more parties will not always be reflected via a bank or other institution record of sale.
