It's a real shame to see adolescents addicted to these drugs. They probably started by taking Grandparents(that need them or something just to get out of bed) scrips out of the medicine cabinet, because they found out they could make a quick buck selling them, and ended up taking one to see what the hoopla was all about, One turned into a handful etc; There are a lot of teens in detox and rehab, some want help, others are there because of a court order and are only waiting for the day they get that paperwork signed and can go back to their previous life style. It's really bad when the Po shows up and removes one, cuffed, from group, you thought was doing the right thing. With an alcohol relapse ti's "Oh no, what happened? What can we do to help see that it doesn't happen again?", with drugs there aren't questions like that until after the kids life has been altered by time locked up. Many folks wring their hands and say something must be done, but very few actually want to get involved in the moderation of a group of teens. Maybe it's because when you see a kid that goes to the same school yours do, it hits closer to home and scares shit out of you, because of the potential that it could have been, or is, one of your children. So I will wring my hands and say something must be done, Until we figure out what though, it's all hand wringing and talking.
