Wow.... Police tactics in some cases are more aggressive than needed and profiling needs to stop

SSG Jessica Bautista This is not just a race thing. This is a humanity thing. The cops lost all of their humanity. We are only seeing one side of the story. Let them have their day in court. If they are convicted, then drop them in general population, and see how they like being on the receiving end of it. The fact that the actual perpetrator was apprehended means a lot is going to be based on what the cameras show. Regardless, if a cop thinks he is a suspect, then identify yourself as a police officer, take him into custody, and when you discover you have the wrong man, release him with your apologies. Beating a suspect like a pinata should never be the first option. Hel, it shouldn't even be the second option. It should be the "I asked nice, I asked not so nice, then he resisted, so I subdued him with the least amount of force possible" option. Are there times when law enforcement are going to be forced into fighting a suspect, of course there are, but (again if the story is just as he says) not when you are not sure if the subject is your suspect. Not when the subject identifies himself as being in the law enforcement community. Most importantly, definitely not just because you are pissed that your suspect out ran you, and this guy is close enough to catch a beating.
