I remember reading things like this in "futures" documents of some sort back when I worked for a contractor. They would mention things like climate change, the AIDS epidemic, "globalism" (however you wish to define it), and it all seemed like a list of currently-popular political buzzwords and talking points. Setting the belief among some in anthropogenic warming, and just accepting for the sake of argument that the climate is warming up (it is certainly changing and if it stopped changing, that itself would be a change), then I suppose that climatic effects, particularly with regard to agriculture and possibly other issues like flooding, could cause social upheaval in parts of the world. However, the climate is _always_ changing. It didn't just start doing that. The Sahara used to be vegetated across its entire range. Now, it's apparently a sea of sand.
