As it turns out people like getting healthcare, including preventative healthcare. If they repeal it without a suitable replacement every uninsured death is going to be blamed on the Republicans, even ones where the person would have dies anyway under the ACA. It won't matter.

They would be much better off fixing it and then claiming it was their idea all along.

H-h-h-m-m-m-m, last time I went to a town hall the attendees did not have pre-printed placards, with many of them saying the same thing. Looks suspicious to me.
