It's kinda of like a romantic type of adventure if you read about the story of the SAS kinda like reading a realistic version of like the dirty dozen and what not these unconventional people brought together to create this elite group and end up making history.

That is quite some History and a whole new method of operating with small forces and causing extensive damage to the enemy in their own camps. Recently I've watched a few films on cable about the SAS and its action. Thanks for posting this. Its very interesting.

Wayne have you done any reading on the OSS? One of my favorites is the Behind Japanese Lines: The OSS in Burma. I have often reminded myself that I did not have it bad, those guys were the real deal. I am a big SAS fan but if you like the SAS you will like the OSS, check our the Jedburgh Teams, DET 101, and there are many more. Be careful not to get fiction, the non fiction is better than fiction anyway. It will blow you away. In the early days how they recruited for the OSS was pretty wild, if there was a skill set they needed and someone had it, get 'em. Check 'em Wayne you will like 'em
