SPC Mark Brown- There were some places we humped through in the Central Highlands that could have been scenes out of the movie “Land of the Lost” or “King Kong” places that were beautiful as hell and sometimes deadly,great post Mark.

Lots of amazing places and sights in places where US troops have fought or are stationed. The famous Hanging Gardens of Babylon, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World were in Iraq.

When I was in Turkey I spent every weekend I wasn't on duty exploring all the ancient sites, Greek, Roman, Byzantine, the list goes on. Visiting Troy was one major highlight for sure.
